Oki tsanitapii! My name is Jesse Halton. My mum is Piikani and my father is British and Scandinavian. I’ve been working in Aboriginal Programming and Aboriginal Education since I convocated from the University of Alberta, Faculté Saint Jean with a Baccalauréat en Éducation in 2004.  I honour those who have shared knowledge and wisdom with me throughout the years; elders, family, local knowledge keepers, mentors, and youth. I love making art, traditional hand-work, and gardening. I’m passionate about food, music, and swimming in the lake! I am excited to be in this role for the district this year sharing and gaining knowledge with the team and advancing Indigenous voice and perspective in our school district.
