In response to the Calls for Justice from the Final Report into Missing Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit Peoples.. inspired by the Students Tending the Fire anti-racism video..

Pink Shirt Day was an idea that started out of an act of kindness. On a day in 2007, a student at a school in Nova Scotia wore a pink shirt  to school one day and was bullied and faced acts of homophobic discrimination. Two older students saw an opportunity to do something.

As we continue to learn of more unmarked graves at the sites of former Residential Schools, we wanted to share resources with schools and families that might help with learning more and sharing this information with students. 

Be gentle, walk with kindness, look after each other.
