2022 Welcome Back Letter

Today for National Indigenous History Month, the District Aboriginal Team is celebrating everything Indigenous and everyone Indigenous in SD8. We honour the Elders. We amplify the culture holders. We aknowledge the knowledge keepers. We celebrate people who are embedded in culture. We celebrate those who know their language.

Today for National Indigenous History Month, the District Aboriginal Team discusses the land, relationships with the land, and the revitalization of land-based teachings.

For this week in National Indigenous History Month, the District Aboriginal Team offers insight into Indigenous Music and Musicians.

To recognise National Indigenous History Month, the District Aboriginal Team will focus on four themes throughout the month leading up to the celebration of National Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
